NBC wanted a "cyber feel" for the NBCi Press Conference. Afterall this meeting was announcing the formation of NBC's new internet company. We achieved the "cyber" look with the help of NBC Scenic Design. The set consisted of steel columns and 17 HDTV ratio plasma screens. Also on the sides of the stage were demo stations where the press could view the new NBCi website and record video segments.

NBC Scenic was able to create the set in a matter of hours.

 

We created an animation for each of the 17 plasma screens and then burned them on to DVDs. Putting these animations on DVD gave us the ability to loop them automatically without having to worry about tapes running out.
