NBC's Sports Marketing division requested a series of presentations for it's sports events to show advertisers. It was also requested to have a new look that would not be like the usual rotating logos and PowerPoint look, be able to play promo videos within the Presentation, have a short turn-around for changes and custom slides, and be easy enough for a presenter to utilize.
As
usual, supplying the marketing team with a look that grabs viewers
attention, operates without any flaws, is better/more than what we
last created, and delivers the presenters message in a clear and exciting
way is a huge challenge. After 6 six months of designing, encoding
and coding we delivered just what the presenters needed. If you are

PRESENTATION
Each presentation has it's own animation on the left hand side of the screen and and one large custom animation per presentation. The backgrounds were designed in Adobe Photoshop and Infinti-D. The animations were created by rotoscoping sports videos and animating the frames in Adobe AfterEffects.
The videos were captured from a Digi-Beta to an Apple G4 using a capture card, and then encoded as MPEG-1.
After importing all of the graphics into Macromedia Director the sports presentations were built. Because all of the graphics are bitmaps and the logos, charts, and text are all vectors, it created a sharp contrast that didn't make the graphics overpower the content. With the important information all being vectors, they always appear clearly. A chooser was programmed into the presentation to allow the presenter not only to choose which sport to present but in which order to present them.
