The show was produced for Bob Wright as an internal town hall meeting for all NBC Network employees as well as the 13 Owned and Operated Stations. NBC New Media designed a complete show package for the event including custom slides, animated backgrounds, crosstalk boxes,lower thirds, and custom bugs. The show featured live feeds from 14 locations which enabled employees to ask questions of Bob Wright and other members of senior management.

Playback of the show was achieved using new Chyron Aprizas. These disk based systems allowed us to render directly to the boxes accross the network and play out the clips out without having to touch tape in the process.

Charts, Keyable live bugs, Keyable Lower Thirds, and animated Crosstalk Backgrounds were all played back from Chyron Apriza and never required the traditional middle step of being dumped to tape for transfer into the playback system in the control room.

The Townhall2000 Animation was created using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.
